Part 4: Gene's Island by Shannon
The boat bumped ashore and everyone started climbing out.
Gene looked over the edge, trying to find a way to make it
onto the sand without getting his boots wet. They were
expensive boots and he didn't relish the idea of ruining
them with seawater. He noticed that the front of the boat
was up on dry sand so he carefully walked to the front and
began climbing out. He didn't see the large wave rolling
up onto the sand and let out a rather undignified squawk as
he lost his balance and went face first into the sand.
Shannon stood on the beach watching Gene try to find a dry
way out of the boat. She knew Gene hated the outdoors and
could only imagine how he felt about being stuck on an
island with no buildings, no electricity...nothing. She
was just about to warn Gene about the large wave rolling up
behind him but she wasn't quick enough. She covered her
mouth to hide her laughter as he went face first into the
sand. She hurried over to him to help him up.
Gene lay there for a second, cursing under his breath when
he heard stifled laughter and footsteps. He glared up at
the person in true Demon fashion only to find a beautiful
young woman with shoulder-length reddish blonde hair
standing over him in cut-off shorts and a halter top. He
could see she was trying to hide her laughter.
"Are you alright?" she asked crouching down next to him.
He rolled over on his back, resting his head on the sand
and sighed.
"Yeah, the only thing bruised is my pride," he said before
sitting up. He climbed to his feet and began brushing the
sand from his clothes.
"I didn't mean to laugh...it's just that..." she started by
way of apology.
"It's not every day you see Gene Simmons take a header into
the sand, right?" he asked with a sly grin.
"Yeah," she said.
Shannon took a moment to eye Gene from head to toe. She
hadn't had the opportunity to meet him yet on the cruise so
this was her first live encounter with him. He was taller
than she expected and up close, more handsome than she ever
could have imagined. He was dressed all in black and she
knew he was going to regret his decision for attire. The
tropical sun was already causing sweat to bead on his face
and neck and she tried to stop the erotic thoughts that ran
through her mind.
"We should find some shade," he said.
"Huh?" she said, his words shaking her from her thoughts.
Gene smiled.
"We should find some shade. I'm dying!" he said. They
began walking in the direction everyone else had gone,
hoping to find some shade and a cool drink of water.
Gene was still trying to figure out why they had split
everyone up. Why couldn't they all just be on one island?
Wouldn't it be easier to keep track of everyone? Why did
they have to split the guys up? Gene hated the outdoors
and would have felt a whole lot better if one of the other
guys were here to run things...well...anyone but Vinnie.
He knew Paul wasn't that far away, but still, the idea of
being with an island full of strangers was not his idea of
a good time.
"My name is Shannon," she said offering him her hand as
they continued to trudge across the sand. Gene smiled and
took her hand.
"Nice to meet you Shannon. I hope someone here has some
camping experience cuz I sure don't," he said not letting
go of her hand.
"I do, and I'm sure some of the others do too. I know
you're not one for the outdoors," she said with a laugh.
"That's an understatement, doll," he said as they reached
the rest of the group. Gene took a moment to look over the
occupants of 'his' island and a smile spread across his
face. Of the thirty people assigned to him, there were
only about six men. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after
all...
Gene was relieved to find out that there were actually
several people who were familiar with not only camping but
they had already set about putting up the tents. It wasn't
known what the climate was on the island so shelter from
rain would be a good idea. There were plenty of
mattresses, pillows and blankets for everyone so at least
they wouldn't be sleeping on the hard ground.
Gene went over to try and help, feeling he should since he
was in charge of the island and its occupants but Shannon
stopped him.
"Why don't you just relax. There are enough people to get
the tents set up and once that's done and sleeping
arrangements are made, then we'll start making something to
eat. I know I'm starving," she said. Gene just nodded and
went to find a shady spot to sit and contemplate their
predicament.
"Oh my god! Shannon?" came a voice from behind. Shannon
turned to see her friend Misha running toward her. They
embraced.
"Misha! I'm so glad you're on my island," said Shannon.
She knew a few people on the cruise but most of them were
on Paul's island. She knew Melissa was around but couldn't
remember if she was on Gene's island or if she had opted to
go to Eric Singer's island.
"I saw you hanging all over Gene," said Misha with a mock
glare.
"You're just jealous cuz I beat you to it!" said Shannon
with a laugh.
"You know it!" replied Misha. "But I get to 'have' him
first," she said.
"Why don't we let Gene decide who he's gonna 'have' first,"
said Shannon.
"Good idea," replied Misha.
Gene watched Shannon and her friend talking and joking
around. Shannon was hot in those little excuses for shorts
and that halter top and he just knew he would have to
sample her delights...but her friend was pretty hot too.
He hoped that the two friends wouldn't mind sharing him.
When the tents were set up and the mattresses distributed,
Shannon came back over to Gene. Someone had brought him
something to eat and he was busy nibbling on a nice ripe
peach.
"They've given you your own tent...so you can have some
privacy," she said, her face flushing slightly. Gene
grinned up at her with a devilish glint in his eyes.
"Now why would I need privacy?" he asked taking her hand
and pulling her to sit on his lap.
"Uh, I don't know...maybe so you don't feel so crowded by
your fans," she said trying to retain her composure.
"I don't mind being crowded by my female fans," he said,
his voice dropping to that sexy tone that sent shivers of
desire all through her body.
"The tents are done. What do you want done next?" asked
one of the men as he strode up to where Gene and Shannon
were. Gene sighed. Maybe having his own tent wasn't such
a bad idea. He leaned close to her ear.
"After everyone is asleep, come to my tent," he said
stroking his tongue along the outer rim of her ear causing
her to melt inside.
Shannon got up off his lap and went to help with meal
preparations. There were seven tents for the island which
meant there were five people per tent with one left over
for Gene. The tents were large so it wasn't cramped and
each person had a mattress, pillow and blankets, pretty
comfortable accommodations considering their location.
Some of the men had gone out to survey the island and were
just coming back as it was starting to get dark. Everyone
was sitting around a fire and listened to what they had to
report.
"The island is pretty big and there are plenty of fruit
trees here so we don't have to worry about fresh fruit,"
said one Shannon learned was named Mark.
"There are some small animals here so we're gonna wanna
keep the food up off the ground to keep them from getting
it. Some monkeys and rats and stuff...nothing harmful that
we found," said the one named Tim.
"Any signs of human life here?" asked on of the fans. Tim
shook his head.
"Nothing. As far as we can tell, we're the only humans
here," said Tim. "We can see all islands from the top of
the hill except Peter's island...and everyone had their
flags up so things are going okay so far."
Gene was glad that they had taken it upon themselves to
survey the island. He wouldn't have thought of that. He
was too busy thinking about getting home...
"What about fresh water? Is there a source of fresh water
on the island?" asked Shannon. Mark nodded.
"Yes, there's a small lagoon on the far side of the island,
but we don't want to use that all up because I'm not sure
if it's spring fed or if it's rain fed. The desalination
devices will probably be our best bet," said Mark.
Everyone nodded their agreement.
"If anyone has any special skills they think might be
useful to us here, please let Gene know so he can assign
duties," said Tim.
Tim and Mark sat down and Gene knew he was going to have to
get up and say something to everyone. He didn't know
what...but he knew he had to say something to encourage
them. He stood up and walked into the center of the group.
"I know I've been designated the leader on the island but
I'll admit right now, I know very little about the
outdoors. I'm lost when it comes to anything that doesn't
have strings...or breasts," he said and was relieved when
everyone laughed at his attempt at a joke. "I don't
consider myself the leader here. I think we can all work
together to make this island run smoothly, but I will have
final say in any disputes. Hopefully there won't be any,
but you never know," he said. "I just want to say I'm
sorry for what happened to your cruise. I know you were
all looking forward to a relaxing trip, not 'KISS meets
Robinson Crusoe', so I hope you will accept my apology and
I assure you, we will refund your money when we return to
the mainland," he said, cringing at the though of losing
all that money, but knowing it was the only fair thing to
do for the fans. Everyone applauded as he went back to his
seat.
Once dinner was done, everyone retired to their tents for
the night. Shannon was happy that Misha was sharing a tent
with her. She didn't relish the idea of sleeping with a
group of complete strangers. After everyone had settled
down and she was sure everyone was asleep, Shannon got up
and quietly made her way out of the tent.
"Have fun," came Misha's comment from under the blanket.
Shannon giggled and whispered a thank you before heading
quietly over to Gene's tent.
There was no way to knock on a tent...so she just unzipped
the door. It was dark enough that she couldn't see
anything.
"I was wondering if you were going to come," said Gene from
the dark.
"Had to wait for everyone to fall asleep," she said coming
in and zipping the door behind her. She felt strong arms
wrap around her and she felt herself being hugged to his
chest just before his lips came down on hers in a
passionate kiss.
"Welcome to my humble home," he said leading her over to
the mattress that served as his bed.
"Gee, it looks just like mine," she said with a giggle.
They sat down and Gene pulled her to him and kissed her
again, his tongue finding hers and caressing it.
He lay her back on the bed and continued to kiss her. Shannon
moaned. It had been a long time since a man had touched her
the way he was and to top it all off, this was Gene Simmons...
her ultimate fantasy.
******************************
The sun and the sound of voices woke Shannon and she was
momentarily disoriented. She couldn't figure out why she
couldn't get up at first until she realized that someone's
arm was preventing her from getting up. She turned over to
see Gene smiling at her. He kissed her.
"Good morning," he said.
"Good morning," she replied sitting up. She rubbed her
eyes and looked at her watch. She could hear voices
outside and knew Misha would be looking for her soon. "I
better get going," she said gathering her clothes and
dressing quickly. Gene pulled her to him in a passionate
kiss.
"Thank you for sharing the night with me," he said and she
smiled.
"My pleasure," she replied before leaving the tent.
She smiled at the people beginning to wake. This was going
to be an interesting adventure!
