Round Robin:
Part 8 (by Val Kyrie) Val stood before the mirror in her tiny bedroom, putting the final touches to her traveling outfit on. She'd finally decided on black "leather" jeans, a billowing white shirt and black platform boots after spending several panicked hours digging through her closet looking for suitable clothes to meet her fellow Kiss-sisters for the final show. She opened a small velvet covered box and reverently pulled out a silver chain that had a tiny silver pentagram hanging from it, along with a small silver sword and silver horseshoe. She clasped the necklace around her throat and tucked the pendant away under her shirt. A pair of ornate silver bracelets ended up on her left wrist and she slipped a couple of rings onto her left hand. One was in the shape of a spider with a piece of onyx in its abdomen, while the other was an antique "poison" ring that she'd found at an estate sale not long ago. A quick check of her appearance satisfied her---for once, her chin-length red hair looked good, her makeup was just subtle enough to emphasize her white skin and bright blue eyes, and for once, she actually FELT comfortable in dressy clothes. The last thing she did before she grabbed her suitcases and ran for the door was to make sure the quick draw knives she was never without were in their wrist sheaths, her knife in her left boot secure, and the glamorie that hid them as well as the shortsword she belted at her left hip was working. She swung her cloak over everything and with one last look about the house, closed the door and headed for the curb as the airport taxi pulled up. Once she was settled inside the car, she pulled a Think Pad out of her purse and using the tiny stylus, flipped through the messages she'd downloaded earlier from her Yahoo! accounts. There was one message in particular she read twice, then made sure it was completely deleted out of the little computer's memory. A troubled expression stayed on her face even as she boarded the small plane to take her to meet her fellow KISS fans. If a certain bad guy was on the loose, it would take all of her magic to stop him if it came down to a fight.
