Wildest Dreams
by Shea
Part Five
Shea followed Paul's black sports car through the now
snowy streets of Nashville to his apartment. She found a parking
space next to Paul's car and reached in the back seat to get her
bag. She took her bag out so she could grab her street clothes before
she got out, bag in hand and locked it in the trunk. Paul put his
arm across her shoulders as he escorted her down the walk way to his
apartment as the snow began to fall harder.
"Traffic will be hell tomorrow if this keeps up." Shea sighed.
"Yeah I can imagine". Paul said as he opened the door, revealing a
sunken living room where a large screen tv with dvd/vcr held pride
of place. A comfortable overstuffed burgundy couch made a perfect
spot for watching movies or just hanging out. The rest of the living
room was tastefully furnished in dark colors with only a few photos
hanging on the wall.
"I think I have some wine unless you'd like something else." Paul
said as he tossed his gym bag on the floor and his jacket on the end
of the couch.
"I'd prefer some soda if you don't have tea. I'm not much of a wine
drinker." Shea said
"I understand. Some people just like wine with a meal. I may have
some iced tea in here someowhere" She heard him rummaging around in
his refridgerator then in the cabinents.
She walked over to an 8" x 10" photograph of a young boy with a
yellow lab. She figured that this was a picture of Evan and Bogie.
Next to it was a photo of Paul and Evan in a swimming pool, Evan on
Paul's shoulders.
"Here," Paul said, handing her a glass of iced tea."That's my son,
but I guess you knew that. He's three in this picture.," Paul said
indicating the pool shot." He loves the water."
"You must miss him a lot." Shea said, slipping an arm around his
waist.
"Yeah I do. I hope he can come for a visit when school's out for the
Christmas holidays."
"So he'll come here to see you?"
"Thats what I'm hoping. If not for Christmas maybe the week before
New Year's."
"I'd like to meet him. He sounds like a special little guy from what
I've heard you say in interviews."
"He is,." Paul said quietly. Shea hugged him closer. "Let's go sit
on the couch."
"Sure. Hey, I almost forgot. I need to call Carol so she won't worry
about me not coming home."
"Phone's over there. Want to watch a movie?"
"That sounds like a good idea."
"Great I'll pop some popcorn. Did you hear on the news that we may
get several inches of snow tonight?"
"Yeah I heard the radio mention something about that. I'd love to
have two days off in a row."
"How long have you had to work two jobs?"
"Roughly six months. Maybe after the first of the year I can cut
back on my hours at the health club."
"You said something earlier about being able to pursue other things,
what other things were you talking about?"
"Writing mostly. I write a little fan fiction on the net. I've
thought about trying to get something published but I'm not sure yet."
"Why not?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure my stuff is good enough."
"Don't sell yourself short. I'm sure you can do it."
After a quick call to Carol, Shea stretched to the ceiling with a
groan, sore muscles aching from her long day.
"Are you ok Shea?" Paul asked, concern in his voice as he came to
stand behind her.
"It's nothing just a little soreness. I think the weather isn't
helping any either."
"Well, lay here," Paul said indicating the couch, pulling a pillow
off the back. "Now it's my turn to give YOU a massage." Paul said,
indicating she should lie on her stomach. Shea complied, folding her
hands under her head. Paul began to massage her neck and shoulders,
long fingers working out the tension he found there.
"You know, I think skin on skin contact would work better. I might
even have some massage oil around here somewhere. I'll be right
back."
Shea sat up and took off her shirt and bra and lay back on her
stomach. Paul re-entered the room with a vial of massage oil from the
bathroom. Warm hands began to massage her shoulders, working down the
sides of her spine, releasing tension and making her relax even more.
"mmm that feels good, Paul." Shea said sleepily.
"I aim to please,." Paul said as he bent down to kiss the back of her
neck, causing shivers to run down her spine. "But I think you're a
tad overdressed." He reached around to the front of her judo pants
and untied the drawstring. He slid the pants down and off before
turning his talented hands to her legs. Shea groaned as he worked the
sore spots out of her calves and made his way to her thighs. Paul
chuckled to himself when he realized she had fallen fast asleep. He
gently picked her up and carried her to his bedroom, where he lay her
on the bed before joining her under the covers.
The blaring of the alarm woke them both from a sound sleep.
Shea was a little disoriented at first, unsure of where she was. She
turned over to face Paul, who was rubbing his eyes.
"Hey baby. Sleep well?" He said softly.
"Yeah I did. Thank you for last nite." She said, moving closer to
him.
They were interuppted by the shrill ringing of the phone.
Paul groaned and reached over Shea to answer it.
He talked for a few minutes before hanging up.
"I think you'd better call work. I was told that rehearshal is
cancelled today because of snow."
"You're kidding!" Shea exclaimed. She reached over and called the
health club where she only got a recording telling what hours they
were open. She then tried calling Eddie at home, where his girlfriend
Karen answered.
" Hey Karen, can I speak to Eddie? I need to know if we have to go in
to work today."
"Hey Shea, no you don't the boss just called Eddie and told him.
Eddie tried calling at your place but Carol said you weren't there."
"Well, thanks Karen. I appreciate the info."
"No problem and whoever he is, I hope he's good to you."
"He is." She grinned.
She then called Mr Donnie at home and found out that, unless the
roads got better, class was cancelled that day and evening. Shea
promised to call back later if the weather looked like it was
clearing up.
"How does breakfast sound to you?" Paul asked as he leaned on one
elbow and looked down at her.
"Sounds pretty good."
Shea got out of bed and headed to the living room to retrieve her
clothes from the night before so she could get dressed. Paul walked
into the kitchen wearing a pair of black silk boxers.
"Can I help you do anything?"
"You can make the coffee. I'll whip up a couple of omlettes for us.
Do you want any bacon?"
"Sounds good to me. I'll get it out of the refridgerator."
They talked as they cooked, and Shea wondered how to tell Paul
something that had been on her mind since last night.
"Paul, I wanted you to know that I'm on the pill, since we didn't
use a condom last night."
"Well, I don't normally make love without one. But just so you know,
I've got a clean bill of health from my doctor. The band has to take
an AIDS test on a regular basis for insurance reasons. Also so
someone can't claim they got it from us."
"Makes sense. Plus, the earlier you find out the better."
"Exactly. It's nothing to fool around with, that's for sure. I've
lost friends to the disease."
"Too bad some people think it doesn't affect them because they
aren't gay."
"Yeah. People are sometimes so misguided."
Soon breakfast was on the table and they chatted as they ate.
Paul was telling her about the people he was working with in Phantom
and what a great cast this was going to be.
When breakfast was over, they stood side by side washing the
dishes and getting into a small soap suds fight, which not only made
a bit of a mess, but caused them both to crack up laughing.
"Want to go out and see how deep the snow is?" Shea suggested when
they finished cleaning up the kitchen.
"Why not. I've lived in LA for so many years that its been a long
time since I've seen snow." Paul said.
They quickly but the dishes in the dishwasher and grabbed
their jackets. The cold crisp air felt good as they tromped about in
the snow. They slid down a large hill at the back of his building on
a piece of cardboard one of the kids let them borrow, laughing when
they landed in a snowbank and ended up covered with snow. Paul
pinned her against the hill and kissed her, making some of the kids
yell "EWWW Gross!!!" Paul helped Shea back up the hill so they
could give the kids their makeshift sled back. Shea threw a snowball
at Paul, catching him sqaure in the chest.
"Oh ho! Now you've had it" Paul laughed, grabbing a handful of snow
and managing to stuff part of it down her back, making her scream
and laugh at the same time. They chased each other in the snow,
throwing snowballs at each other and generally acting like a couple
of big kids. He pinned her against the wall of his breezeway, holding
her close.
"This is the best time I've had in a long time," he whispered. "Thank
you." He then kissed her softly, holding her close when he broke off
the kiss. "I've had a great time too...." Shea whispered. "Want to go
inside and warm up?" Paul nodded.
"I have just the perfect way." he whispered against her cheek.
They made their way to his apartment and hung up their coats.
Paul led her to the bathroom where there was a large bathtub/jacuzzi.
Paul began filling the tub with warm water. Shea pulled off her t
shirt walked over to Paul's waiting arms. He unfastened her bra and
slid his hands to her waist, kissing her neck as he did so. Shea
reached up and unbuttoned his shirt, sliding her hands through the
soft hair on his chest, she kissed his chest.
"Ummm, something tells me you've got the same thing on your mind as
me."
"You know it lover. Let's not let the water go to waste."
They finished undressing each other and stepped into the warm,
swirling water. Paul had Shea dunk her head under the water as he
reached for the shampoo. Strong fingers caressed her scalp as he
worked the shampoo into a thick lather.
"Oh that feels good." Shea groaned as she leaned back against him.
"Come on now, I can't finish your hair if you lean back like that."
he teased.
"Party pooper!" Shea joked.
She rinsed her hair and turned to face Paul.
"Now let me do your hair."
"Sure thing little lady."
Shea lathered his hair, massaging his scalp and rubbing his neck.
Paul rinsed his hair and grabbed a loofa and began soaping her body,
working his way down to her waist. He reached for her and settled her
in his lap, facing away from him. He rinsed her body, kissing the back
of her neck. He ran his fingers up and down her thighs, making
her shiver with anticipation.
"What do you say we dry off and continue this in the bedroom?" Paul
breathed against her cheek.
"Lead the way baby. I'm all yours."
Paul stepped out and held out his hand to help her out of the
tub. He let the water out and grabbed two fluffy towels, handing one
to Shea. They dried off and headed to Paul's bedroom where a king
sized bed with satin sheets dominated the room. Paul found some
candles and lit them, their soft glow setting a romantic mood with
their rose scent. She lay on the bed, pulling Paul down with her.
